Blindfolded

by Heidi Harover   Jul 9, 2009

Stepping into a blazing fire
full of things that I desire.
I really want to find someone,
but my heart is dead, and my body numb.

Exploring this place, I look around.
There may be something good I have found.
My heart flutters as I see this guy.
It seems so perfect and I don't know why.

I look at him, as he looks at me.
There's so many things I find hard to believe.
Such as all the stuff we both seem to like.
Every time we speak, there's an absence of strife.

Sitting, wondering, biting my nails,
cause every time I try, everything fails.
He is everything I've been looking for,
I shake and tremble as I open this door.

Stepping into a blazing fire
full of things that I desire.
Even though my heart is scolded
I'm jumping in, my eyes blindfolded...
