This would fit in the friendship catergory as well. At times I think we have all felt this way to an extent. Deserted and left alone. Well done.

Time still marches forward
Years have taken their toll
Happiness is rare
Gripped tight in sorrows hold

^^the last two lines are very touching... but still we can hope for the best and wish that happiness will come our way...

Is friendship lost so easy
Hurtful words slip untamed
Life has frowned upon me
Only myself to blame

^^ I just so loved this stanza... sometimes we make mistakes and lose our close friends... I loved how you have picturised life frowning on you ... well penned...

A very well-penned write, there was so much depth and imagery created. Each line held a lot of emotion and feelings that helped the reader understand all that was going on. Wonderfully written, the flow also might I add was flawless. Well done, good luck with the contest!

This poem was heart wrenching. Pleading for someone to stay brought so much sadness. The emotions displayed in this left me speechless .

It has been a while since I commented on your poems. I liked this one. The pain in our lives is like the core of an apple that holds the seeds of our strength and if sown correctly will surely bless those around us with the wisdom those pains have brought to us. as always your poems are a joy to read.

I don't know what is going on, but it seems someone has left you and maybe more than one. I think one day they will be very sorry.

It should not be this way with someone as ill as you, they should think twice to leave you alone.
