Won't You Dance In The Rain With Me?

by Anna   Jul 12, 2009

Smiling and laughing
The cold feels good
Listening to it fall
Soaking wet but I don't care

I'm having too much fun
Don't remember the pain
I'm not thinking of you
Nothing's on my mind

I feel free!
Like I'm flying
Just soaring through the clouds
I missed this feeling

Dancing around
Feet hitting the wet, soft ground
Face looking up at the sky
It's true beauty

I wonder why the sky's crying
What happened to make it sad?
I start singing a song
Hoping it will cheer up the sky

But soon the happiness fades
I start remembering memories
Promises you made
I want to cry...
I know those promises are never coming true

The tears can fall freely
Though I still dance
But it's slower now
Swaying back and forth
Pretending I'm dancing with you

I reach my hand up to the sky
Hoping you don't see me crying
A bittersweet smile lights up my face
For even though I know you're not with me
You're in a better place

We had great memories in the rain
Just wish we could make more
He made me promises too...
But he didn't keep them true

You always did
And I know you would have
You're time was cut short
I forgive you love

I start laughing again
Reaching my hands out to you
To anybody that wants to grab them
But I'm asking you...
I'm asking him...
I'm asking my love...
Asking anyone that wants to dance...
Wont you dance in the rain with me?
