Measure Up

by Julie   Jul 13, 2009

Look at the girls on the T.V.
They're so beautiful
Look at the girls on the magazines
They don't need make-up
Then look at me in the family photos
How can I measure up
I'm not beautiful
I'm not Dazzling
But there's something about me
that just seems to capture him
I don't need Hollywood
or a magazine cover on Vogue
All I need to sweep him off his feet
is me

Look at that model
strutting it on the cat walk
Look at that Movie star
in her fashionable sports car
Then look at me
sitting on the couch with a book
oh tell me how
I can measure up
I don't have a special walk
and I don't even drive
but still somehow
somehow...
That boy still looks at me
and all I need at the end of the day
for my happy ending
for my magical life
is me
