Torn

I feel like I am being torn in two
like kids fighting for the last candy bar
between the one I love and my best friend
who i care for deeply

Emotions are flaring
no one caring
what they say so daringly
"she has been mine longer"
to get at one another

Wanting me so desparatly to
choose which one to let go and
which one to keep
but I can not choose
I love them both
