Death

Sittin here confused
not really knowing what to feel
Why is this?
What is really real?
I dont know
but I can act like I do
time aint ours
we're just riders
in this car
call it life
look at the streets
but one day man
we wont breathe
we wont see
what we dont see
and even what we do
why is this?
seems like im always going through...
as im gettin older
get a lil' bolder
still need a shoulder
this worlds only gettin colder
aint like anything i can do
about it
sometimes i really doubt it
not the kind to show my fears
but this is life man
go ahead
let out a couple tears
How should i feel?
in this mind of mine

better than 'okay' but one step below good
cuz life is hard and death aint understood
we always fall
so why get back up?
Because believe me,
Life is hard but its not always rough

Im sittin here
thinking
my mind is calm
bodies stay still
as time moves on
but i got a question
what is life?
aint rhetorical but the answer isnt nice
days go by and we stay strong
or at least we try as we move along
aint nothing there to say
thats the hard part
theres a pain in my chest
oh wait thats my heart
you can fall from the sky
now dont lie
we all turned the blind eye
who cares that Icarus fell?
after claiming the sun
no one ever saw
his work was never done
now just forget the banter
this feeling here
spreads like cancer
kinda like the tumors
that took my friends for me
a life un-lived
they all die hungry
but when the dreams fulfilled
you know its beautiful,
so im just gonna sit back and write while im in this cubicle
