The Gift

by music4pumpkins   Jul 24, 2009

They say she's gifted
And ignore black tears that fall
Her wondrous mind has drifted
Away from it's call
With all the people that she's lifted
They don't care at all

She screams to you in fear
Screams of internal hell
Screams you choose not to hear
Her voice was once a bell
But that's ancient history, my dear
Her gift is present, and it's just swell

Her gift of seeing what lies ahead
A gift she'd rather not know
And of all the tings she's said
You only heard her futures quote
You know, she sees you lying dead
But she sees everyone in that boat

She sings a song so beautiful
Her true sirens call
She'll be nothing but loyal
Until the night you fall
Even after she'll be truthful
To those who believed her at all
