Starless Night

Clouds dim a star once so bright
As the sky fills with emptiness on a starless night
Captivated by loneliness and despair
I sit alone in the cool night air
Thinking of you and of Me
And all that we used to be

As the night grows old I don't see morning in sight.
The sun and the stars have abandoned me on this night.
