Wrong Turn

by Shelby   Aug 4, 2009

I thought we were good friends,
I guess it was only just pretend.
It came quickly to an end,
For myself, I now must fend.

We go on through the days,
We both went our seperate ways.
My life soon became a maze,
Through my eyes, it was all a haze.

I feel my heat has cracked,
Worn, torn, and sacked.
What we had is in the past,
It all went by, way too fast.

Life goes on and on,
What we had was really fun.
You were as bright, as the sun,
But now, it's done and gone.

I see you talk, but hear no voice,
When you left, it was your choice.
The tears I cried were wet and moist,
I no longer experience your true joy.

We went so far,
We tried to hard.
You left my heart, hanging ajar,
You were my bright, shining star.

I hardly see you anymore,
My heart is broken, it turned so sore.
Your love, once the only cure,
You left me want more and more.
