I Love The Pope

by Dacey Flame   Aug 4, 2009

Pushed offshore I tottle
My tugboat misted away
Though the lighthouse is quiet
Winds lining up to play me
Lie me down and tie me up
The sun is never quick enough
The sun never seems so concerned
As moon fall when my skin still
Pulsates purple with atonement
The sun leaves me to fade on shore
Leaves to serenade the clouds
I drip and fume and grow
Small enough for the sun's affections
I sit back down in my little tugboat
And push off the dock at sundown
