Final Kiss

by Laila Ali   Aug 6, 2009

Together in the shower, close and wet
The water on our bodies quickly turns to sweat
Trapped between you and the wall, but lovingly so,
Your strength and muscles so powerful

Together in this union, we form a bond
Each thrust, a promise, our love will live on
Our hearts beat fast, our breathing harsh,
Our souls combined, our worries depart

Too passionate to think at all
Too aware to let the other fall
Too new to play the game we're in
Too smart to think love is a sin

I know you love me, you know I love you.
When we're like this we've no doubt, no rue.
To feel this with you, confirms the truth.
Our love and lust, entwined, circles the room.
Not to know, not to care what others may say,
For once we make the rules we want to obey.
Their evil whispers don't reach our ears,
Their shamed glares can't see us here.
If only we could forever stay like this,
But no, alas, here comes our Final Kiss.
