Amber On My Mind

Like the sunshine singing
Sweet songs that make me smile.
The brightly colored sky is bringing
Happiness from every mile.

I awake to sounds that were so foreign
Which are now here every day.
They fill up a heart that's barren
With love's gentle, tender sway.

The wind blows slowly and with love
And carries softly, gliding through.
My soul comes back down from above
Revived and feeling new.

I Thank love for souls returned
And send kisses out the door;
Ones that have always been earned
And belong on special lips; forever more.

I've been waiting for you; forever
So that words seem very small
To tell you I feel closer
Since tearing down the wall.

Though being close feels fine;

I wipe a stream of melancholy thoughts
And replace them with your trace.
All the sadness life had brought
