Mother's Day was here And your birthday had just passed. You walked right out the door It happened all so fast. A cake was in the oven Waiting just for you. You would never get to see it And no one ever knew. You gave your mom a card And in a loving, caring way You told her that you loved her On her very special day. No one ever saw you As you walked out of the house. You never even made a sound You were as quiet as a mouse. You were riding down the road Flying, being free. Who was to know the outcome Of what God could only see. The accident was fast, Everything's a blur. We were hoping you would be okay, But no one knew for sure. That night you went to heaven, In the Lord, our God's good grace. But no one will ever forget you, And your always cheerful face. You had a beautiful smile That won't escape my mind. I'll always remember it very well, It was certainly one of a kind. We will always have you with us, As you watch us all from heaven. But always remember one important thing, We really miss you, Kevin. Until we meet again, Be the angel that you are. And keep an eye on all of us, You're doing good so far. One and one more thing. It's important too. Just to let you know, I really, really love you. RIP Kevin Ray.
