Magical Love Glue

by smile sunshine   Aug 13, 2009

Tomorrow will be a better, brighter day
I never wanted to think of you anyway
You broke me into pieces so that you could shine
Never giving me the pleasure of calling you mine
Now he has found me and has made me new
Putting back the pieces with magical love glue
He has seen me in a different, beautiful light
With him by my side I am always alright
He knows what you did and will not do the same
Like me, he cringes at the sound of your name
You made it so hard for me to trust anyone anymore
I almost lost him because of what you did before
Yet he continued to stay hoping I would come around
He is fixing the broken pieces of me you smashed into the ground
Unlike for you I am not a challenge he has claimed
The idiot who broke my heart he would not want to be named
He is here for the long run and will never leave my side
All he wants is to be along for the ride
You will never know how happy I am that you are not in his place
Come stand in front of me so I can slam the door in your face.

Love the ending and smiled at the title. ;)
The flow of the poem could've been better, but the emotions and feelings projected in it covered up for that.

Anger, pain, and sadness. I liked how you put all of that in your poem. It's exactly how I imagine a broken heart to be.

    Favourited. <3
