Dying In The Dark

by Ares   Aug 13, 2009

Close the door,
so I can start breathing again.
she can't speak,
so don't go asking me to reply.

the darkness in the world wants to pull me down,
so I dig a hole to keep me safe underground.
and I,
I don't want to give up,
until I find out the truth.

You're not here,
I find bloodstains in the back of a car.
I still care,
I breathe life in whatever hope we have.

Left dying in the dark.

Don't let our days escape,
we'll be fighting just for them,
we'll be dying just for you.

You're gonna let me down,
leaving a scene of blood,
leaving a scene of war.

Over my dead body,
over my broken limbs,
you won't find me anymore.

Now I can commence.
Wounded and alive.
Bottled up again.

The solution lies in mysteries,
holds a hope they just can't see.

As I kiss your whitened cheeks,
I can feel a dying beat.

Left dying in the dark.
