Olivia

Olivia

I never knew I'd fall in love
with the spirit of such a little being
Always calling her the sweetest things
wish I could gaze into her eyes endlessly

Only three,
Only as tall as my knees,
wearing little fairy wings
She runs to me
and all I see
is Love.

I only want to please her,
to see her smile, to watch her glow
through sparkling, sapphire eyes
to watch her learn, to let her grow
Oh, and how those eyes shine!
It breaks my heart to see her cry,
One glance, makes my heart melt
One smile, expresses all I've ever felt
Wrapped up into one blooming bliss
Twirling ecstasy, her innocence
And she'll never know how much I'm going to miss her...

Every morning,
calling my name
as I race down to greet her,
under the beach umbrella,
I meet her, pick her up and spin her,
Watch her giggle and laugh with glee

My cutie,
My little princess,
Oh how I wish you were mine...
My lovie,
My darling,
I wish we had more time...
to play in the waves
remember the days,
jump into the pool,
don't worry, I always catch you.

To read on the couches
and hide in sand castles
and draw on the walls
and laugh...at everything.

I taught you how to swim
and you taught me how to fly
with fairy wings,
in our dreams,
we'll sail on streams
of stars to umbrella beach
Where we'll always be together...
Oh my precious thing,
All my smiles for you,
cannot snow how much you mean to me.

You are my little mermaid,
and when I say I'm playing chess,
you sit quiet in my lap and watch
and whisper "treasure chest"
And you smile as your legs vanish
as I make you a fin out of sand.

Your tiny hugs are like
the warmest, softest blanket.
And when you call my name
and run into my arms,
Oh God, I never want to let you go
Oh how I wish I could let you know
How much I love you...

And those days,
are remembered
and the waves
couldn't even measure
Everything about you I treasure.
