Dreams of Summer

This road of an empty shadow
Lies broken by the winds of change
A heart once left, still follows
So does an arrow, yet to fire on range

An eternal pilgrimage, A soul forlorn
Runs like lightning, roars like thunder
Inches from light, an emotion once scorned
A trigger let gone,to give back what's plundered

Oh spectrum, plant me three lil roses
For I see color through this dirt called skin
When will it grow? Will a thorn be painless?
Would it match my color? Oh you make me grin

Alas, the land has blessed the seeds of tomorrow
Yet I frowned til a cheek sprouted a root
Not a stem, not a leaf would even grow
This was all, til all became beautifully mute

Here lies a heart, tired from its long journey
It breaks in two, yet it shows no fear
As I remain bewildered ,a maiden stands before me
She offers three lil roses, I offer her a tear
