You cannot hurt me

You struck my face in anger,
Used words that cut me deep,
Shattered every hope I had,
Dignity, I could not keep.
My tears, you only laughed at,
Respect was just a word,
You wanted me to listen,
But I could not be heard.
You raped my inner feelings,
And never had a clue,
The person deep inside of me,
Was stronger then you knew.
You can no longer hurt me
Or take away what's mine,
I took back, what you once stole
I saved myself in time...
