Mother

by Rodrigo   Aug 22, 2009

Everyday in the morning
it's the greatest sight to see
your smiling face, twinkling eyes
there is no place I'd rather be.
You have lend me your shoulders
when I needed to cry
you always had a towel handy
to dry my tears from my eyes.
You gave me everything I could want
with you nothing else mattered
you have been a great friend
my clothes were never torn and tattered.
You never thought about yourself
so it's safe to say you are not greedy
with the love and support you gave
I never knew what it was to be needy.
The time I share with you
are the greatest moments one could enjoy
it's true you could never be replaced
Mother, you raised one heck of a boy.
