Where are you dad?

by Chantaya   Aug 23, 2009

Right from the start you were barely there
My first impression was that you didn't care
You wanted to take me away
And leave my mom
take me to Jamaica
Cause that where you're from

We went to court
you didn't get your way
so you figured it was time to run away
the last time I seen you
I was three
that feels like an eternity to me

Mom packed up
& moved us back home
Mom met Stephen
They fell in love
A couple months later I was calling him DAD

When I was six
they knew it was time
they went and got hitched
and all was fine
when I was seven
they had a baby
A beautiful baby girl
My beautiful little sister
Madison

Now it's 8 years later
I just turned 15
last time we talked i was still 3
You don't know how I miss you
even though I don't know you
I have my dad now
hes better than you could ever be

You don't how it hurts me
to know you don't want me
to know you don't try to
communicate

Just a call
just a letter
just a picture
that would be fine

But I've given up on you
It's been 12 years
I've waiting too long
Don't even bother
I don't need you
I don't want you
I have my family know

But seriously Where are you dad
why weren't you there
what did I do?
