The Girl You Lost

by brie kelly wise   Aug 29, 2009

Sticks and stone, lipstick and glamour
Questions slowly rose to clamor
Holding down the blade, we must wait
This is just another game in which we smile and fade

CHORUS
The girl you lost
Is not the girl you found
Our bodies disengage, our lungs filled with exhaust
To this place I am bound
The girl you lost
Is not who you found

Sirens and gunshots, such a raw wound
I'm waiting for your call, so leveled and bruised
Holding down the roof, we must stay
Now that we are fully aligned, we must pray
