Love & Coffee

by Ares   Aug 31, 2009

I woke up from a lovely dream,
all was good and we had iced cream,
I saw you there for the thousandth time,
a well-grown man gone way past his prime.

Remember what you told me not five years ago
"Please my friend: never sink that low."
Remember that you'll have to feed,
but love and coffee is all I need.

I saw a man with a microphone,
those pure at heart may throw the first stone,
I found love in a place not prone to love at all,
I picked up the phone and made the first call.

Remember what you told me not five years ago,
"Please my friend: never sink that low."
Remember that you'll have to feed,
but love and coffee is all I need.

Twisted and distorted way with words. just the kind of poetry that attracts me.
