Jesse On A String

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Sep 2, 2009

So my life skips like the record
That I threw out last night
How fitting analogy
I'll set it all right
With a rope and a ladder
And an impure intention
I'll choke out this nostalgia

With a swift kick and a short drop
I'll fall to the bottom
Of a silly love song
Where nothing gets broken
If we just sing along
But when the music is over
And my lungs can't expand
There'll be a Jesse on a string
With a love letter in hand.

:( this was suck a sad poem, but written so beautifully. There were so many things I loved about this. The metaphors you used were flawless and the flow was incredible. i think you told your story well and what a sad one it is. I can relate to feeling like this sometimes. Your emotions were so clear and very personal. Really great poem hun :) Keep it up. Nik
