Lullaby

by Amy Dunlop   Sep 16, 2009

Sleep in my arms and they'll keep you from harm
Hurt you no-one will dare
There u will stay there you will sleep
Deprived of all worry and care

One day you'll grow it'll happen so fast
But I won't let go ill hold on to the past
You'll be what you want each dream you'll fulfill
And then they'll all see that you're beautiful

But for now as you dream I'll cradle you close
And what I'm holding is my own precious rose
Outside wind howls outside rain pours
But you'll remain safely and warmly indoors

So don't you cry no don't you howl
Refuse my eyes that adorable scowl
Close to my heart is where you'll remain
And our hearts beat in time exactly the same
