Alzheimer's

by Second to None   Sep 22, 2009

Alzheimer's is slowly taking you over
Grandma you don't even remember my name
Grandma my name in not Diane
That is your daughter

I miss all the stories you once told me
Your memory isn't what it used to be
You used to ask me about my school
Now you ask me where I go to school

It is so hard seeing you fade away
You where always so wise and full of advise
Now to recognize me you have to think twice
I want you back

Its so sad seeing you like this
I still love you, but do you love me
Even though you don't remember my name
Do you still love me just as much as always?

**This is a poem i wrote about my grandma getting Alzheimer's and how sad it is to be forgotten.**
