Dear Wolverine

by I WhoWhatNow   Sep 22, 2009

This rhyme is dedicated
To walking through the woods;
To learning how to jump;
To all that we've been through.

This thought is inspired by:
Every song we've sung
Every line we read
Every tune we've hummed.

These words are here to
Show you I still care;
Remind you we're still friends;
Tell you I'll be there.

This speech is for
The things I couldn't say
The things I feared to speak
The things I feel today

These lines are made to
Try to hold your hand
Two thousand miles away
From right here where I stand.

This work is to remember
Me tying your shoe laces
Walking by that cemetery
And all those other places

These memories were to
Keep us close and true
For years to come ahead
Until I came back to you.

I took the time to write this
Because you're worth this and more.
As you'll see in the distant future
It's you and I, I did this for.
I'm just biding my time, I guess,
Till destiny's driven me through
Till I have you face to face again
So I can say, "Hey, I love you."
