A bird in flight
An artist to write
My ability to live
Lost in one night

Hold me tight
Kiss away fright
With demons in sight
Thought you were the light

With a heart thats broken
And a body thats maimed
The wounds will heal
But the scares remain

Teach me to lie
Show me to fight
Help me to hide
From all of this pain

The battle was lost
But the war remains
And in this time
The smile's maintained
