A Cancer Patient's Life

by Beautifully Disfigured   Oct 1, 2009

Play.
Memories flash before your eyes.
Sadness, tears, long goodbyes.

Pause.
Breathe through the tears.
They are the past.

Play.
Joy, happiness, excitement.
Fears, frightening, scared.

Pause.
So long ago it seems.
Just breathe.

Play.
Graduation day, first love.
Moving out.

Pause.

Rewind.
Ah yes you remember him.
He has long past before you though.

Play.
Marriage, a new house, kids.
Soccer mom position.

Pause.
Here comes the worst.
Breathe.

Play.
Test results are back.
Doctor’s news is frightening.
You are too young for this.

Pause.

Fast forward.
Pass those memories, no need to reminisce.
Get to the end.

Play.
The reel is over.
The tape is at its end.

Stop.
Time to enter a new life.
Enter the light now.
