War Cry

by David ODonnell   Oct 1, 2009

Unbounded souls now roam the field
For restless warriors that fought and killed
Sheathed in blood, regret, despair
They struck with honor, no thought or care

Wailing cries and hounding moans
Some left wounded with sickening groans
Scattered soldiers forever remain
Though so much anguish and so much pain

Dark blood orb that haunts the sky
Sneers in heat as the evil eye
Its gaze upon two shadowed men
As the heat of battle is once again

Those scouring eyes now meet their goals
Impassioned hatred that fills their souls
Blades that twist unto each other
Man vs Man, Brother vs Brother
