She Is Her Own Curse

by The Lady of Shalott   Oct 2, 2009

Once there was a girl,
who was trying too hard,
To mend her broken heart
that was damaged and scarred.

She was trying to fix herself,
but only causing more pain...
today she gave up,
she has nothing left but her name.

Scars tattoo her wrists,
from a time long ago,
when she tried to move on...
she tried to let go.

She vowed then and there,
she'd live out her life.
Even if he didn't love her anymore,
and she buried her strife.

But the years have passed,
They pain has unearthed,
She cannot cope with herself,
She is her own Curse.
