It's not like it matters
The way that you treat me.
Was never something important
That you'd bother to see.

I accepted it numbly
And press the button replay.
The more the words hit me
The less I feel what you say.

It's not like your here
To watch me fight and struggle.
Trying to be better this time
But I'm human, I'll fumble.

The few times I even
Found a reason to smile.
Were the times you would treat me
Like something disgusting and vile.

But it's not a big deal, right
I know I'm stupid, but I get it.
It only matters how you feel
That's your own self commitment.

I promise I won't ever cry
You won't ever feel the guilt.
But I do hope one day
You feel that sword to the hilt.

Perhaps when you're breaking
And struggling to scream.

Understand what they mean.
