Real Friends

by butterfly   Oct 4, 2009

I'm at the dance and I look around and you aren't there
I guess you went to go smoke with your cooler friends again
you say your my friend but where were you when he rejected me and I needed you.
Where were you when my dad was drinking
Where were you when I spent the summer sitting all alone at my grandmas house.
Some friend you turned out to be
I guess we have to figure out who our real friends are sometime
A real friend is someone who is there for you whether they have something to do that they think is better or not
Real friends are the ones that will stay there until your tears stop flowing and longer.
Real friends won't ditch you to go hang out with other people.
Real friends won't say they are coming and never show up.
Real friends don't leave the other friends in the dust
I can see now you definitely aren't a real friend
