Quiet this vision

Why is it so loud
this vision in my head
she and her new man
lying together in bed

why cant I let go
of this vision in my head
maybe its because
of three words she said

I love you they were
it seemed so sincere
then she left me alone
to be with another, and not here

I think of the day
she said with a tear in her eye
please dont leave me
and I wondered why

is love so disposable
that it has no meaning
or just for romantics like me
who are always dreaming

I know your out there
this feeling I fear
your name is love
and when your ready, I will always be here
