Certain

by Richard S   Oct 5, 2009

Beware those who are certain.
They have answers for us all.
Beware the sure around us.
They know they have the call.

There is a god in heaven.
The bad must die for sins.
There is a god that tells them,
He created fish with fins.

We have the right to weapons.
They're certain of this truth.
Women must wear aprons.
Baseball better with Babe Ruth.

Certain of those better days,
When they could all agree,
That those not them would know their place,
But...consider sincere pleas.

Pleas that recognize their lot,
That answers are for certain,
That those who have the ear of god,
Get to raise the curtain.

Raise the curtain of their truth.
The world's a perfect place,
If all would be as certain,
As they...the perfect race.

    This is an interesting poem....
It is somewhat complicated to figure out, and it doesn't flow well (maybe you could improve on that...?)
But all in all a very interesitng topic, therefore its a 5/5 from me :)

Not really that complicated. There are many people in this world who are certain about their beliefs and their way of life. Bigoted people who deny evolution, believe in THEIR right to carry arms, believe that times were better when women stayed in the home (the time of baseball player Babe Ruth was a better time).
