What the future holds

I can picture it perfectly
Your hand intertwined with mine
I stare deep into your soul
We`ve been together a long time.

My love was kept a secret
For years it was left untold
I listened to my heart
Together we shall grow old.

We grew through adolescence
Friends forever, we would say
You composed a sweet melody
For me, on our wedding day.

Many claimed they have seen
The special relationship we had
Whilst I had dressed as a princess
And you, a small young lad.

I prayed we`d have a happy ending
For numerous years in the past
You have been there my entire life
I`m sure our love will last.
