Till ' im Dead

She said she'd watch over me,
and now she has.

"Big sister" think "tell me that mom loved me..."
Knowing the answer,
dreadful pain of the past.
"Big sister, tell me the truth."

She towers over me,
a sculpture she knows I could not compare too.
"she loved to babble about you, admit how you were raised. She hurt you, she didn't hurt me."

Palm of my hand draws attention,
to myself yet again.
Eyes and fingers touch the center,
a joint, a scream, one night in the past.

"im watching over you, forget about something!?"
big sister's fingers pull and rip into my face,
her force to have me see into her eyes.
They are dilated.

she cant see reality now,
mom smoked herself to sleep,
sister lights it up,
they took it out on me.

Big sister your lit up,
big sister watch over me!

I hear babbles and grunts,
but nothing compares to what I feel.
One complete stash thrown in my eyes,
ash replaces vision.
A whipping slap throws my head aside.
The stench of burning drugs run with me,
marking its territory in my lungs.

My neck snaps in a new direction,
"with a flick of the wrist" she says.
Energy is dwindling but her eyes watch over me.
My eyes close to this end.

Big sister watch over me.

This was one of the saddest poems I've read in a long time. Wow..your emtions here are so strong and really make me feel your pain. I can't say that I can relate, but I know what's like to feel something this intense. I felt you did a great job with this. I loved this from start to finish. Great job hun. Nik
