    This is a very thoughtful dedication to a person who is very important to you, no doubt.

    Maybe you would care to read a little about the Haiku format?

    This poem is not a Haiku, I am surprised no one mentioned it to you, maybe they didn't want to because it is such a sweet dedication and they didn't want to seem harsh or anything.
