Say It Once More.

by xx   Oct 28, 2009

I saved a letter from you
It's dated March twenty-eighth.
It's all that keeps me going
And holding on to faith.

This letter is so special
'Cause it reads 'I love you'
But you don't say it anymore,
So I suppose it isn't true.

This letter has deep creases
From being opened and read.
I used to read it so much
To keep the illusion in my heart fed.

This letter symbolizes something
And that something is the past.
But I guess it goes to show
That good things never last.

This letter is sad for me to read,
But I still sneak peeks sometimes.
Besides, it's not that much reading-
Just that single, heartbreaking line.

This letter is all that's left
Of what we used to be
And it's the last 'I love you'
That you ever said to me.

SORRY, I WAS YOUNG AND I THOUGHT I WAS IN LOVE.

This is so sad....it's like you're yearning for something that used to be, and even though reading the letter causes you pain, you keep reading it.
    Well done :)
