Two Years and Still Counting (A Poem About Holding On)

by Stargirl   Nov 6, 2009

Two years and still counting
Of weeping and thinking
Thinking of how much time i wasted
For all the sufferings i have basted

Oh how could i ever forget
The man who brought me tons of daydreams
The days when i tried to hook back our broken seams
When it all seems that i am out of cue?

Would i overlook
This path that you betook
With papers lying on the floor
Of poems about your departure wherefore?

In this four cornered room
With you devouring the gloom
Of this atmosphere with your delightful smile
I was terrified to pass the isle

And now here i go again
With this pen
Unmoving yet still hoping
Two years and still counting
