Drowning

by The Lady of Shalott   Nov 7, 2009

I'm drowning inside
in a pool of my pain
trying to hide
the feeling of disdain

I'm so exhausted
so tired of life
of trying to push past
the showers of strife

Boiling in anger
swallowing contempt
this is how
my life is spent

I push toward the surface
desperate for breath
but before I get there
I'll meet my Death
