I have lost it

I haven’t written in a while
It feels like all the words have left me
Every time I try to write the pain inside of me
Only empty words come from my pen
Only meaningless thoughts come from my mind
Why has my muse left me?
Why has the poetry drained from my body?
It was my only escape
It was my only friend
Now I have nothing.

    Thats really good, i can relate to that as have often had periods of time where i cant get any words out on paper.

    perhaps you can write about what its like not writing, more poems like these, you managed this one ok so could try another like it?

    or write about how poetry helps you as an escape?
