It keeps crashing down on me,
In endless waves it seems.
I can't let go of me and you,
even though you've found someone new.

It keeps breaking my heart,
Knowing that we're far apart.
I just can't hold it all inside,
But I can't let you see me cry.

It keeps cutting me to the core,
I've lost the battles, and the war.
I see the smile upon your face,
And then I see her in my place.

It keeps burning up my soul,
I'm using all my self-control.
There's so much that I need to say,
Mostly I'm sorry I pushed you away.

It keeps crashing down on me,
