Wandering Angel

by Crys908   Nov 25, 2009

My wandering angel, wake to the absence of a beating heart
Sigh away another day of lonely sorrow
Shake off any sign of tired resignation
Slowly bring yourself up just to fall once more.

My wandering angel, reminisce the faded memory of a smile
Hold your head together for a rude awakening
Stand on crumbling ground, trying to hold onto thin air
With every minute, hope for a reason to wake up tomorrow.

My wandering angel, alone you wander
Down the streets of empty silences
Speak with a faltering voice
Hide behind apparent human-ness

My wandering angel, hear my voice as it floats with the wind
Let it cut you open with a great, but terrible comfort.
I pretend no harm so just let me soothe the pain
I'll kiss away the fear and the hint of desperation in your voice

My wandering angel, take a look at yourself in the mirror
See me reflect every part of you
I'll be your shadow wherever you go.
Every step, I'll be there. Every breath, I'll be there.

My wandering angel, what has happened to you?
Are you still lost, trying to find somewhere known?
Tell me, as I walk beside you...
How does it feel to lose those angelic wings?

My wandering angel, don't define it all
Take my hand and I'll teach you how to dance
on the dancefloor of the life we live
Take my hand and blink away the fear.

My wandering angel, quiet in the comfort of the darkness
Lean into me and I'll show you the sound of a beating heart
The one that beats to the melody of your words
Lean into me and memorize the tune of my heart.

My wandering angel, find your way to my arms
Embrace me and I'll whisper the secret to a smile
The kind that can brighten up the whole run
Embrace me and inhale the smell of tranquility

My wandering angel, this time I'll show you the way.
Down the street of empty silences.
Hand in hand with comfortable balance
Here next to me, we wander together.
