Distractions

by Second to None   Nov 26, 2009

Pretty girl looks at her closet at the clothes she can't wear
Skirts and dresses she can never put on almost more than she can bear
Stunning presents from her sister and all she can do is stare
What is the piont of owning them if all they are going to do is sit there

She can't show her addiction that cascades down her wrists and legs
Another day of failure and she is out of hope so kneels down and begs
Hides under the thick dark material of sweat shirts and long pants
She wishes that somehow she could just start life over, just one more chance

Maybe she will be the lovely girl that she has always wanted to be
And perhaps one day people will know her real personality, they'll see
I hope that soon she wear a one of thoses dresses and be free
One day I pray that you all will se past my scars and meet the real ME!

I can see you Amelia. I'll always be here for you if you need anything. I really loved this poem. It was very deep and came from the heart.
