Under a crooked tree.

by Thepainwithinme   Dec 4, 2009

Standing under a crooked tree,
Tell me, do you think of me ?
Holding my breath, I'll wait for this,
Eyes closed, I imagine a kiss.
Hands held out, waiting to hold yours,
Thunder claps like slamming doors,
I can't find you, where did you go?
I'm waiting for you, but you didn't show.
A light shows up, The sun is in the sky,
I stare at it, and I wonder why.
A feeling so dark, with a sky so bright,
A spark of day, in a life of night.
Something is new in my empty heart,
Somebody fixed the shattered part.
Now I hold out my hands, and someone grabs on,
And I receive a kiss, so passionate, so long.
A beat in my chest, I missed the sensation,
I'm nervous for this, drowning in anticipation.
A smile on my face, happy to be with you,
Happy I found something new.
