Happiest Moment

by Benjamin   Dec 7, 2009

At this church alter I stand here now scared and nervous, my heart not missing a beat.
Suddenly the organ chimes, people rise, and a pin drop could have been heard.
Then there she is walking up the isle, so beautiful, so golden, look at god smile.
Before her father releases her hand I look him in the eye, smile, and nod my head.
He lets go and I take her hand, my eyes can not leave her, my smile won’t vanish, my
eyes tear up and a tear slides down my cheek.
I look into her eyes and say my vows, slide the ring on her finger, and giver her the one kiss to make it official.
I take her hand and turn to the crowd to see my dad in the back so proud.
Together for the first time we walk as one, down the isle and out the door.
One final wave, into the car we get, to drive off in the sunset, the happiest moment we will ever get.
