Someone you loved

by melissa greene   Dec 14, 2009

Have you ever lost someone?
Someone you loved?
Then you might know what it's like,
to wonder if their watchng from above.

While your slipping lower,
into that pit of black despair.
Doing things you should'nt.
Taking every dare.

Did you ever lose someone you loved,
when you weren't even there.
Wondering if they forgive you.
Hoping they know you care.

Did you ever go farther,
then you ever did before.
Slipping ever closer,
to hells welcoming door.

You try to convice yourself,
that you don't really care.
But it shows in your eyes,
in your eyes you heart is bared.

In the line when you state "While your slipping lower" You should change the "your" to "You're" to give the correct form of the word and to eliminate confusion....Overall it is a wonderful poem!
