To Many Years Between A Thought

by Indian Comma Bean   Dec 18, 2009

Euphoria, drip down upon my eyes
Like the ashes of a coffin nail,
Sweet surprise, quiet delusion,
These tears have set sail.

I know there's mystery to find
In the memories you have hidden,
Like a candle in the morning
I search for what's forbidden.

I would climb the tallest timbers
To swim within the daylight's sea,
Drink wisdom from the pages
But would you still remember me?

Bound by ghosts that hold my feet
The sky becomes weary of the sun,
I see the light within your eyes,
But I've still so many years to run.
