Breathless angel

by Kayla   Dec 26, 2009

Standing on the precapie of the cliff reflecting on what could have been,
The happy thoughts of yesteryears all flashing through her mind,
His dark eyes, long black hair and the way he made her smile,
distant memories, dimming the brightness of each day, all her happiness has faded away.

She feels so incompetent she couldnt see past his luscious beauty
that poisoned tongue, self centred so heedless

She wrote his name in the sand, but the merciless sea took it away
As she wept in time to the melodic waves,
her mascara tears fell down her face, she wanted to scream yet she was paralysed

This is her elegy, so black and fragmented,
A testimony that embodies her sad and lonely life,
The life that had so much promise taken away by the virginal naive angel called ambition.

Falling to her knees, how could he have had such a heartless essence, hes so remorseless hell be ejected from heaven.
Her love so stagnated so full of lament, but she cant comprehend this anymore as she suffers from harsh shards of pain

A scrawl of rain that goes unnoticed due to her delusional state of flux, striding with determination, into the eye of the storm, the waves are thudding over her chest
Shes waited for years, yet he led her astray.
She finally resigns herself to drown in the love that she could never have

This is her elegy, so black and fragmented,
A testimony that embodies her sad and lonely life,
The life that had so much promise taken away by the virginal naive angel called ambition.
