The Eclipse of Art

by ntv650   Dec 28, 2009

Nothing is forever, all is a facade
Beautifully painted, immaculate art.
Intricate patterns, expensive craft.
Upon the canvas bright, the canvas dark.

Teardrop breasts and Damocles' lips
Arch in the back, touch of blue in iris
Faint curve of hip, gentle shoulders dip
Beauty beyond, beauty to colours gone.

Prostitute of babylon, lost to the bible
Femme fatales of Greece in their marble,
No-one to break, no-one to play their part,
Except for ultimate love, she does choose:
To dance in my world; to eclipse my art!

Hmmmm. The essence of art, transfered over to the written word. This is a fantastic piece of work. Your talent, and desire, shows. You have my vote.
